The International Symposium on Persistent Toxic Substances (ISPTS) series aims to provide a platform for scientists working on PTC around the world to discuss and exchange information on the most recent findings, innovative theories, frameworks and methodologies in PTS research. Building on the great success of the previous ISPTS held annually since 2004, the 14th ISPTS will be held at Nagoya University, Nagoya, Japan, from 24th to 28th September, 2017. The symposium will cover interdisciplinary topics of significance, ranging from analytical chemistry and the characterization of PTS to environmental- and eco-toxicology. Science and technologies for mitigation and remediation are also included.
The Symposium will focus on, but will not be limited to, the following themes:
1. Sources, transport and fate of PTS
2. Emerging contaminants of concern
3. Toxicology and eco-toxicology of PTS
4. Analytical and bioanalytical methods
5. Fate and Toxicity Modeling
6. Risk assessment of PTS
7. Mitigation and remediation of PTS
The ISPTS 2017 will provide a valuable opportunity for environmental scientists, experts and students from all over the world to interact and exchange research ideas and contribute to a global understanding of PTS. On behalf of the organizing committee, we welcome your participation and thank you in advance for contributing to this exciting Symposium.
We are looking forward to welcoming you in Nagoya, Japan.
